One of the truly joyful moments in your
life can come when you take your Siberian Husky into an AKC
Conformation Show ring. Many Siberians love to be shown, and
are quite hammy about it.
The first step into learning whether your
Siberian Husky is going to do well in the show ring is to learn
what is in the breed standard, and to compare that standard
with your own dog.

Basics of Conformation
Before going into any depth with your dog,
first look at the overall appearance factors. Measure your
dog's height and weight to see if they are within the
acceptable range for the Siberian Husky breed. Then take a good
look at his/her bite. If it is not a tight-fitting scissor bite
it will not pass muster in the ring. These are the big
disqualifiers for a Siberian. The rest is all a matter of
degree.
