Siberian Husky Care is a Special
Calling
A primitive, loving, and beautiful
breed, the Siberian Husky is also unlike other dogs. The deep
bond with humans was forged over thousands of years in the
frigid cold of Siberia. That bond and extreme cold also fed the
independent personality, prey drive, and innocence that are
other hallmarks of this distinctly different breed.
Siberians are not for just anybody.
If you've been living with a Siberian
Husky for any length of time, you know that they are not like
other AKC breeds. That same extreme intelligence, loyalty,
inquisitive nature, intense beauty, and playfulness that
attracted you to them in the first place can be the very reason
you're ready to tear out your hair in frustration.
Don't get rid of your Siberian. Learn
how to care for that special breed, and turn them in to that
wonderful family member you dreamed of when you first decided
on your Siberian.
Why are they So
Difficult?
The Siberian Husky is a primitive
breed. They were bred over the millennia to do a job in the
great expanse of the Siberian wilderness, but not necessarily
in the manicured yards and carpeted homes of today. Try to be
understanding that there are many natural urges you'll have to
train out of them simply because they are still such a
primitive breed.
