Supplements for Your Siberian Husky

Because Siberians are such an active breed, there's extra stress being placed on their joints while they run and pull and jump and play. Siberians are an extremely healthy breed -- primarily due to being so primitive -- that they have a much lower incidence of hip dysplasia than most other breeds. Still, there is a percentage of Siberian Huskies that do get dysplasia, and still others simply suffer symptoms of age just like we humans do.

In our kennel, we use Purina Pro Plan Performance, which is a chicken & rice flavored dog food with a high protein and fat content. We like to feed the chicken & rice to avoid food allergies that some dogs are known to have, and our dogs simply love chicken. You may decide to make a different choice. Giving a supplement helps you to give your Siberian a more solid nutritional foundation no matter what type of food you feed.

Consider adding a good quality veterianary nutritional supplement to your dog's daily regimen.
